It is frightening, to say the least, to imagine that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers could come to your home with a warrant to arrest you or a family member.

Update Jan. 2026: An ICE Memo released this month claims that ICE officers can forcibly enter a homes to make arrests based solely on an administrative warrant. This goes against decades of U.S. Constitutional law.

The Constitution protects the rights of all individuals in the United States from unreasonable searches and seizures, regardless of immigration status. The law has not changed. To legally enter a home, ICE officers need either the permission of an adult in the home or a warrant signed by a judge.
