Last month, I posted that USCIS processing times were at an all-time low for Form I-130, the petition that U.S. citizens and permanent residents file for their spouses, children (and in some cases parents & siblings).
Well, now the processing time is through the roof! The Potomac Service Center says it's processing the petitions of U.S. citizens in 32.5 - 42 months!!
If you have a Form I-130 pending with the USCIS Potomac Service Center, don't freak out yet. The agency seems to be going through a bit of a crisis at the moment, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the published processing times fluctuate wildly in the months ahead.
